Mogadishu, 17 July 2019 - The United Nations envoy to Somalia, James Swan, yesterday awarded medals to officers of a United Nations Guard Unit (UNGU) for distinguished service.
5 June 2019 was marked globally as World Environment Day with the theme of “Air pollution”. As 5 June was a United Nations Official Holiday in Somalia, the celebration of World Environment Day was held in Mogadishu on 11 June 2019, with activities conducted by UNSOM, UNSOS and AMISOM.
