UNSOS joins hands with Somali communities to create public awareness on coronavirus

The United Nations Support Office for Somalia (UNSOS) has joined hands with communities in Baidoa, Belet Weyne and Kismayo  to create a public awareness campaign to fight the spread of the coronavirus

The campaign, including radio programs and public service announcements, provides timely information on COVID-19 and information on best practices for the management and prevention of new infections.

Preventive and management measures will also be shared through infographics and other graphic content via social media.

In addition, a new page with comprehensive information on the coronavirus has been created. The page has information and guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the current outbreak of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).
